Inside the Assembly of an Aviation Refuelling Unit
Where the different parts become one complete solution
The assembly of an aviation refuelling unit is one of the stages where the project really begins to take its final form.
After the different components and structures have been prepared, they gradually come together in our assembly area. Each unit moves through a series of stages in which components, systems and equipment are installed and integrated according to its final configuration.
As the images from our facilities show, several operations can take place simultaneously. Different teams work on different areas of the equipment, progressively transforming individual components into a complete aviation refuelling solution.
A process built around integration
Assembly is much more than simply putting parts together. Every component must fit into the overall design of the unit and work as part of a coordinated system.
This means following a defined manufacturing sequence and ensuring that the different elements are correctly positioned and integrated as the unit progresses through the production process.
Depending on the type of vehicle and its configuration, the work carried out during this stage varies. However, the objective remains the same: to turn the engineering and individual components behind the project into a fully assembled aviation refuelling unit.
It is also a stage where the work completed during previous phases becomes increasingly visible. The chassis, structural elements, equipment and different systems gradually form the final vehicle that will later continue through the remaining manufacturing and verification processes.
